Under minimal to regular supervision, the Digital Press Operator understands and operates digital presses while able to identify and troubleshoot issues should they arise. This is a full-time in-person position at our Maple Grove office.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
\n• Ability to lift 50 LBS. When required.
\n• Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms, bend and twist.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the
\nessential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, hearing protection is required. Safety glasses are required at all times while on the shop floor, due to forced air evacuation of metal debris off parts. This is a safety sensitive position requiring the employee to be of sound mind and not under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or drugs during working hours.
Skills:
\n• 2 years’ experience with digital presses, CNC machines, or related machine.
\n• Good oral and written communication skills.
\n• Mechanical competency in application to the digital press and maintenance.
\n• Ability to learn and obtain knowledge of equipment, methods, materials and practices used in printing production operations.
\n• Knowledge of safety requirement including proper use of equipment and safety precautions.
\n• Ability to understand, follow, and issue routine oral and written instructions.
\n• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
Essential Functions:
\n• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
\n• Ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot a digital printing press.
\n• Adjust and maintain the digital printing press.
\n• Testing inks on the printing surface to determine suitability.
\n• Review job orders and specifications of prints to make correct adjustments, installation of parts and supplies to printing machine.
\n• Adjust color calibration to meet expectations of the color target.
\n• Handling production of the printed materials from start to finish, including printing and stacking process, to ensure it meets
\nspecifications, quality standards, and meets deadlines.
\n• Inspect for quality of printed materials.
\n• Performing maintenance on the print machine, including cleaning the press and peripherals.
\n• Ability to work closely with colleagues.
\n• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
\n• Ability to be flexible and contribute to production as needed.
\n• Ability to be a backup machine operator if needed.
